Esfahan lies at the heart of Iran, 414 km south of Tehran, in the lush Zayandeh-Rood plain, at the foothill of Zagros mountain range. The city enjoys temperate climate and four equal seasons. No obstacles exist as far as 90 km north of Esfahan and cool northern winds blow in this direction. It stands at an average elevation of 1500 meters above see level and it's neighboring mountains run northwest to southeast
Esfahan province has a population of around 4 million, of which 1.6 million live in the city of Esfahan.This city has many historical places some of them belong to after Islam, mostly to the Safavid era.

Chehel Sotun Palace This historical monument was built for royal audiences and official receptions. It was built under Shah Abbas II in 1647. The reflection of the palace's 20 forfront pillars in the pool stretching before it, has given the name- Chehel sotun = 40 pillars- to it. |

Khaju Bridge This is the most beautiful bridge left behind from the Safavid period. Measuring 132 meter in length and 12 meter in width, this is one of the world's interesting bridges. |
