Women Villager's Cooperatives
(a unit of Village Cooperatives Organization)

It started its activities in 1994 with the following tasks:

A- Trading goods needed by its members, training them in agriculture, handicrafts, rug-weaving, and sewing.

B- Handling all aspects trade of women 5 products (dairy products and others)

C- Improving member's living standards

D- Collective use of land (owned or leased)

E- Breeding livestock, fish for members' collective use F- Financing members' needs The Women Villager's Cooperatives undertook the following by coordinating with various provinces:

1) Registering and commissioning Women Villager's Cooperatives in Hamedan province's villages with 180 members in rug-weaving and sewing. In khorassan province, two cooperatives have been set up for drying and packaging vegetables and dairy and grape products. Another one is a farming cooperative.

For saffron, and local products, as well as packaging goods, making textiles. They have 966 members. Another cooperative is in the central province and is related to carpet-weaving. It has 125 members.

In Mazandaran province there is a cooperative with 30 members in Kolde which was formed in 1994.

In Tehran, the Damavand cooperative has started its work in saving potato, apple and other fruit and crops from decay. It has 185 members.

In Gilan province ,the Massuleh women's cooperative has 124 members who have long been active in handicrafts.

They have taken part in courses to be educated with respect to their work.
