Women and Sustainable Development Association
It was formed in 1992.
Its objectives are:
- Safeguarding current habitats (onshore and offshore)
- Studying environmental problems and utilizing renewable resources (forests, waters, soil,
animals and
fish)
- Studying and planning to upgrade women's status as an effective factor in sustainable
development
- Promoting sensible use of the said resources
- Identifying and strengthening popular institutions such as:
traditional village and nomadic cooperatives, the elderly and senior villagers to help preserve
the environment and sustainable development.
The association's board comprises of five people and is based in the center for Environmental
Technologies and Application, a non - profit institute.
