Iranian Women's Theater Center

The center was established in 1985 under the name "Women's Theatrical Unit" run directly by the Theatrical Arts Center. In 1988 this center continued its activities in a semi-governmental state. II continued its work under the name “iran's Women's Theater Center” independently. It has been run without any support of the Theatrical Association and is the only supporter of women's theater in the country. The center is active in three areas: production, education and culture.

1. The educational unit admits some students twice a year in: make-up, costume design, graphics, painting, acting, writing screen plays, and doll - making. It aims at identifying talents in women, by themselves and hence directing them to artistic centers for training.

2 - The producion unit, comprising two parts:

Producing plays.
Producing

It has produced valuable plays in the last eight years in which women were main actresses.

It has encouraged women in acting in theaters and films and has trained them in this regard.

It aims at improving its accomplishments in the Iranian Islamic society.
