Charitable Women's Association

Charitable Women's Association started its humanitarian activities in 1961. But these activities in fact culminated in the establishment of the Kahrizak Home For The Aged and the Disabled (KHAD) in 1972. It is now over 22 years that, the association, taking advantage of charitable people's contribution, has used all its might to expand and equip KHAD and improve the living conditions of about ii 00 inmates. The Association's activities increased after the Islamic Revolution. They now include the care for orphans and needy families and assistance to Iraqi refugees, the wounded of the imposed war and survivors of Rood-Bar earthquake.

Activities:

  • Offering all forms of assistance to the disabled.
  • Holding seasonal and annual exhibitions in Iran and abroad in order to secure a part of the Kahrizak Home's expenditures.
  • Providing technical vocational training for the disabled in order to make them self-reliant.
  • Bearing a part of the cost of the living of children who lost their parents in the earthquake.
  • Establishing mothers and children's home store-room, dispensary, library, kitchen and dinning-hall.
  • Buying the land required for the implementation of the future projects.
  • Implementing the existing projects to secure the future of the persons depending on the Association in order to make them self-reliant, the constructing of two schools (for boys and girls), a technical & vocational school, training workshops, olive oil & olive packing plants and olive farms.
